USA men's ice hockey right wing TJ Oshie has experienced a sudden growth in his online social network popularity after his match-winning shootout display against Russia on Saturday.
Oshie scored the game-deciding shot in America's victory, which boosted their chances of progressing from the preliminary round of the competition at the 2014 Sochi Games.
US President Barack Obama even sent a message to Oshie via his Twitter account, which gained 100,000 new followers overnight.
Oshie told reporters: "How can you top that one? The truth is, people are probably going to be bored by my tweets and hit the unfollow button. But it's fun for now."
America picked up another victory today, dispatching Slovenia 5-1 courtesy of a Phil Kessel hat-trick.
