Greg Rutherford emotional over Lizzy Yarnold triumph

British Olympic champion Greg Rutherford says that he was "in tears" after watching Lizzy Yarnold win the women's skeleton in Sochi on Friday.

British Olympic champion Greg Rutherford has said that he shed tears of joy after watching his compatriot Lizzy Yarnold win gold at the 2014 Sochi Games.

The 25-year-old Briton finished first in the women's skeleton event at the Winter Olympics on Friday.

"I don't admit that I cry often, but @TheYarnold winning has me in tears! What an amazing athlete. Incredible," he wrote on his Twitter page.

Rutherford won the gold medal in long jump at the 2012 London Olympics.
