Petra Kvitova has described her triumph over Eugenie Bouchard in the Wimbledon final as "so special".
The Czech won the title for a second time on Saturday as she earned a 6-3 6-0 victory against the Canadian youngster.
While admitting that her career has not always gone to plan since her maiden Grand Slam win back in 2011, Kvitova is happy to be lifting the Venus Rosewater Dish once more.
"It was definitely a tough match. All my team helped me a lot throughout the years to come back here and win the trophy again," she told BBC Sport.
"I can't say it's more special [than my first victory] but after three years to be back here with the trophy is so special.
"I have to say thank to everyone who supports me all the time, it is a special time for me. Hopefully it will be good for everyone in the Czech Republic to have a second trophy. It is my second title so I hope it will be a little bit easier for me to handle."
Following her Wimbledon victory in 2011, Kvitova reached the quarter-finals in both 2012 and 2013.
