Victoria Azarenka through to last eight

Victoria Azarenka recovered from losing the first set to move past Aleksandra Krunic and qualify for the quarter-finals of the US Open.

Krunic took the first set 6-4 before the former world number one regrouped to take the second and third sets 6-4 6-4.

A back-and-forth third eventually saw Azarenka ease away from the Russian to secure her passage into the last eight.

Azarenka will meet Russia's Ekaterina Makarova in the next round after she knocked out Eugenie Bouchard earlier in the day.
