Andy Murray in "best shape" with new coach Amelie Mauresmo

Andy Murray believes that he is in his "best shape" following the arrival of his new coach Amelie Mauresmo.

Andy Murray believes that he is in his "best shape" after working with new coach Amelie Mauresmo ahead of the US Open.

Murray goes into the tournament having failed to win a trophy in the past 12 months.

The Scot told reporters: "I worked incredibly hard in my last Miami training block and feel like I am in the best shape I have been for a long time. Things with Amelie have been going well here this year on the practice court."

Former Grand Slam champion Mauresmo was named as Murray's new coach in June.
