The Frenchman did not face a single break point as he wrapped up the straight-sets win over the Swiss player to clinch the 11th ATP title of his career.

After narrowly clinching the first set, Tsonga had a chance to wrap up the match while leading 5-4 in the second, but Federer dug deep to hold serve, eventually taking the set to a tiebreak.

However, Tsonga quickly opened up a lead in the breaker to give himself three more match points to wrap up the tournament.

The win will move Tsonga, who beat Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Grigor Dimitrov on his way to the final, back inside the top 10 in the world rankings.
