World number one Victoria Azarenka has eased into the third round of the Rome Masters after a straight-sets victory over Shahar Peer.
Azarenka proved too powerful for her Israeli opponent in the first set as she won 6-1 in just over 20 minutes.
The Belarusian refused to let up in the second and closed out the match 6-2 in under an hour.
Azarenka will now face world number 16 Dominika Cibulkova for a place in the quarter-finals.
