Andy Murray qualifies for ATP Finals by beating Grigor Dimitrov in Paris Masters

Andy Murray qualifies for the ATP World Tour Finals by beating Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets to reach the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters.

Andy Murray has finally secured a place at the ATP World Tour Finals by beating Grigor Dimitrov in the third round of the Paris Masters.

The British number one, who has played for six straight weeks, earned a 6-3 6-3 victory over the Bulgarian to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament in France.

Murray, who lost to Dimitrov during the defence of his Wimbledon title in the summer, grabbed the first break of serve in the opening set.

Dimitrov failed to create a break-point opportunity of his own as Murray went a double break up to clinch a one-set lead in Paris.

The two-time Grand Slam champion continued to dominate on the court as Dimitrov lost his opening serve of the second set.

That single break proved to be enough for the Scotsman as he wrapped up the contest to push him into the final eight.
