Andy Murray insists that he is in good shape ahead of his first match at the Paris Open tomorrow afternoon.

Great Britain's Andy Murray has played down fears over his fitness as he prepares for his opening match at the Paris Masters.

The 24-year-old was forced to withdraw from a tournament in Basel last week because of a leg injury.

However, the world number three has insisted that he is in good shape ahead of the competition in the French capital and the ATP World Tour Finals in London later this month.

"I feel good," Murray told Sky Sports News. "I had a little niggle in Basel so I wasn't able to play there. But I feel better this week.

"Physically I am much better than I have been coming into Paris in the past, which is a good sign."

Murray will take on Jeremy Chardy tomorrow afternoon.
