The Czech Republic's Petra Kvitova has revealed that the last 12 months have been a "dream" for her.
Kvitova was speaking after she claimed the WTA Championships title in Istanbul earlier today.
That victory, coupled with her success at Wimbledon earlier this year, has seen her end 2011 as the world number two.
"When I started this season we didn't have a goal," Kvitova said during an on-court interview.
"We just wanted to improve my game and now I am number two and Wimbledon champion. It is just a dream."
The 21-year-old also collected a cheque worth £1.1m for her victory in Turkey.
