Novak Djokovic through to Miami Masters final as Kei Nishikori retires

Novak Djokovic advances into the final of the Miami Masters after Kei Nishikori is forced to retire before their clash with a groin injury.

Novak Djokovic has made it through to the Miami Masters final without hitting a ball due to the retirement of his opponent Kei Nishikori.

The pair were due to go head to head at around 7pm UK time for a place in the final, but the 20th seed has been forced to withdraw with a groin injury.

Nishikori was originally hoping to reach his first final at the tournament after knocking out Roger Federer in three sets in the quarter-finals.

Djokovic, who defeated Andy Murray to reach the final four, will take on either Tomas Berdych or Rafael Nadal in the final.
