Stanislas Wawrinka took less than an hour to dispatch of Andreas Seppi in the Indian Wells Masters third round.
The Australian Open champion recorded a conclusive 6-0 6-2 victory against the world number 32 to progress to the quarter-finals of the California tournament.
The third seed hardly broke sweat in winning the opener without dropping a game, although he did require five break points to move into the 4-0 lead which was soon turned into a set advantage.
It was a very similar story in the second, with Seppi battling valiantly to try to stay with the Swiss and finally getting on the scoreboard with two holds, but he did not have a single break point throughout.
Wawrinka eventually converted his third match point to complete the rout after 50 minutes of action, and he will now face the winner of Kevin Anderson versus Evgeny Donskoy in the last eight.
