Jo-Wilfried Tsonga took just an hour to complete a four-set victory over Cedrik-Marcel Stebe in a French Open second-round match delayed by rain yesterday.
The match was evenly poised at a set apiece going into Thursday's play after last night's action was suspended due to the weather.
The fifth seed soon wrapped up the third set as he took the opening two games of the day and then picked up an early break in the fourth to take control against his German opponent.
From then on, Tsonga didn't look back as he earned another break of serve to move 4-0 and two sets to one ahead.
Stebe briefly displayed some of the form that saw him claim a set against the Frenchman yesterday but Tsonga responded strongly to book his place in the third round.
