Rafael Nadal comfortably dispatches Nicolas Almagro 6-4 6-3 6-1 to reach the third round of the French Open.

Rafael Nadal has raced to a straight-sets victory over Nicolas Almagro in the French Open this afternoon, winning 6-4 6-3 6-1.

After a closely-fought first set, just one break of serve in the third game ensured Nadal got off to the perfect start in the all-Spanish affair.
