Milos Raonic pulls out of French Open

Milos Raonic reveals that he will not participate in the French Open after failing to recover from a foot injury.

World number six Milos Raonic has confirmed that a foot injury has forced him to withdraw from the upcoming French Open.

The 24-year-old's participation was in doubt after pulling out of the last week's Italian Open and retiring during the Monte Carlo Masters in April.

He wrote on Twitter: "I tried my best to be back and healthy in time after surgery. I will continue my rehab and proceed with preparations for a 100% strong Wimbledon and Queens run."

The Canadian has never progressed beyond the quarter-final stage at Roland Garros.

The 2015 edition of the competition begins on Sunday.
