Rafael Nadal admits that he has lost some of his passion for tennis after his 7-6 4-6 6-3 loss to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Rafael Nadal has admitted that he has lost some of his passion for tennis following his ATP Tour Finals exit in London on Thursday.

The world number two, who lost convincingly to Roger Federer earlier in the week, was beaten once more by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on Thursday evening to send him out of the competition.

"Probably I had a little bit less passion for the game probably because I was a little bit more tired than usual," Nadal told Sky Sports News.

"I'm happy how I practised the last three weeks. That's the truth. I'm very happy I have the right attitude to play tennis. That's important because I was in the right way. But to compete I wasn't in the right way."

Nadal took a month out from tennis following his defeat to Florian Mayer last month and is reportedly considering time away once more.
