Janko Tipsarevic has no regrets

Janko Tipsarevic admits that he has no regrets over his failure to beat Tomas Berdych this afternoon.

World number nine Janko Tipsarevic has said that he has no regrets over his failure to convert the match point he earned against Tomas Berdych this afternoon.

In the deciding breaker, Tipsarevic put his effort wide with Berdych well beaten.

His Czech Republic opponent responded by claiming the next three points and wrapping up the victory.

However, 27-year-old Tipsarevic claimed that he would play the same shot if the chance ever arose again.

"If I have [that] chance one more time, I would still take that ball early and go to the net and play the volley," Tipsarevic said after the match. "So I am not honestly at all disappointed because of the way I played on the match point."

Tipsarevic, who only entered the competition through Andy Murray's injury withdrawal, can no longer qualify for the semi-finals.
