Nick Matthew reaches World Championship semis

Defending champion Nick Matthew reaches the semi-finals of the World Squash Championship in Qatar.

Nick Matthew has kept his hopes of a fourth World Championship alive with a last-eight victory over Amr Shabana.

The 34-year-old, who has won the world crown three times in the last four years, defeated the Egyptian by a 11-3 12-10 11-7 scoreline.

The Commonwealth champion will now play world number one Mohamed Elshorbagy in the semi-finals in Qatar.

Elshorbagy has recently claimed that Matthew's career is on the decline.
