Squash player Laura Massaro: 'England knew what to expect from Wales'

Laura Massaro has said that Team England's straight-sets victory over Wales in the women's doubles at the Commonwealth Games earlier today was 'frantic but enjoyable'.

Massaro and teammate Jenny Duncalf dispatched Wales's Deon Saffrey and Tesni Evans 11-10 11-7 at the Emirates Arena.

"It was frantic out there," the 23-year-old told reporters. "It is difficult to find space on the court to hit in to but it was good fun at times and we enjoyed it.

"We have played them a few times in practice so we knew what to expect and we are two from two so that is good. We start practising doubles early on when we know it will be a Commonwealth year so it is usually in our minds early on and you tend to adjust quite quickly."

Massaro won a silver medal in women's singles earlier this week.
