England's Kenneth Parr picks up bronze in 50m rifle final

England's Kenneth Parr picks up a bronze medal in the men's 50m rifle prone final at the Commonwealth Games, with Australia's Warren Potent finally claiming gold.

Team England shooter Kenneth Parr has won England's 19th bronze medal of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, finishing third in the men's 50m rifle prone final.

The 25-year-old made it onto the podium but was well behind Australian winner Warren Potent, who had claimed silver and bronze at the two previous Commonwealths.

Potent, 52, set a Games record score of 204.3 points to narrowly beat India's nine-time Games medallist Gagan Narang, who closed the competition on 203.6 points.

Parr scored 182.0, which was over 20 points clear of his nearest rival for bronze.

Northern Ireland's Gary Duff and Scotland's Neil Stirton finished in seventh and eight respectively.
