Romania's Alin George Moldoveanu has taken a shock gold in the men's 10m air rifle final this afternoon.
Moldoveanu held first place through the early stages, until Italian Nicola Campriani shot a 10.8 to take the lead.
Pre-Olympic favourite Campriani then looked to have the gold wrapped up until a wayward shot on the penultimate round allowed Moldoveanu back into the lead.
Campriani shot a 10.4 on the final round, meaning that Moldoveanu needed over 9.7 to win the gold, and the Romanian made no mistake.
The result was a big shock in the shooting world, as Moldoveanu is not even in the top 25 in the world rankings, and finished 38th in a pre-Olympic tournament.
India's Gagan Narang took third place to join Campriani and Moldoveanu on the podium.
