Bath centre Sam Burgess has been named in England's 50-man Rugby World Cup training squad.
Burgess is among seven uncapped players who have been included in coach Stuart Lancaster's provisional party.
Luke Cowan-Dickie, Maro Itoje, Elliot Daly, Henry Slade, Calum Clark and Ed Slater have also been called up.
Chris Ashton returns to the fold following a spell away from the national set-up, while David Strettle, Joe Launchbury, David Wilson and Ben Morgan are also in the group.
The party is due to meet up at Pennyhill Park on June 22 to start preparations for the tournament. England play warm-up matches against Barbarians, France and Ireland before getting their Rugby World Cup campaign underway against Fiji at Twickenham Stadium on September 18.
"We are excited to name this extended squad, which allows us to look at a wide group of players who have been pushing hard for selection in training with us or playing well for their clubs this season," Lancaster told the Rugby Football Union's official website.
Ben Foden, Joe Simpson and Tom Croft are all currently sidelined, but Lancaster has refused to rule out involving them in the group before the start of the tournament.
