New Zealand forward Sonny Bill Williams has been named the Rugby League International Federation Player of the Year.
The 28-year-old beat off competition from Greg Inglis and Super League 'Man of Steel' Danny Brough to win the award, presented at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester.
Williams is expected to lead the Kiwi charge in the World Cup final against Australia at Old Trafford on Saturday.
He returned to Rugby League with Sydney Roosters last season following a five-year stint in Union, and helped them to the NRL title.
Williams has also competed as a boxer and last fought in February, defeating Frans Botha to win the WBA International heavyweight title.
