Leeds Rhinos clinch win over Catalans Dragons

Leeds Rhinos ease to a 40-12 win over Catalans Dragons in the Super League.

Leeds Rhinos have cruised to a 40-12 win over Catalans Dragons in the Super League this evening.

The home side started the match well, and were able to take the lead through a Michael Oldfield try inside the opening 10 minutes.

However, Leeds soon started to see more of the ball, resulting in tries from Joel Moon, Brett Delaney and Tom Briscoe to put the visitors ahead at half time.

Rhinos continued to dominate after the break, with the team spreading the workload to add a further three tries, while Briscoe was denied a second by the video referee.

Catalan tried to get themselves back into the contest late on, but the ball came loose, allowing Kallum Watkins to clear the danger for the visitors, before Ryan Hall added a seventh Leeds effort in the final minute of the game.

The result moves Leeds up to second in the table, level on points with leaders St Helens.
