Ryan Hall: 'Leeds Rhinos have point to prove at Wigan Warriors'

Leeds Rhinos winger Ryan Hall hopes that his side can push on from their victory over St Helens last week when they take on third-placed Wigan Warriors this evening.

Ryan Hall has admitted that Leeds Rhinos have to produce the goods against Wigan Warriors this evening after a "disappointing" performance the last time they met.

The current Super League leaders slipped to a 27-12 defeat at the magic weekend in Newcastle six weeks ago.

Since then, the Rhinos have won three of their four fixtures to steal a march on their opponents at the summit, but Hall insists that he and his teammates still have a point to prove.

"They are a tough side and when we played them up in Newcastle we didn't show our best against them, so all we can ask from ourselves is to show our best this time," he is quoted as saying by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"We didn't perform last time and that was the most disappointing thing, because it was on a big stage. We like to pride ourselves on being able to rise to those occasions, but we really let ourselves down.

"We are in their backyard this time and we don't have a great record there, but hopefully we can carry on from last week."

Victory for Leeds at the DW Stadium will see them open up a five-point lead over St Helens.
