Hull FC owner Adam Pearson: 'Lee Radford will be given time'

Hull FC owner Adam Pearson insists that new coach Lee Radford will have time to bring consistent success to the Super League club.

Hull FC owner Adam Pearson has insisted that new coach Lee Radford will be given time to bring consistent success to the Super League club.

The 34-year-old was appointed at the KC Stadium on Wednesday following the departure of Peter Gentle.

"I just want us to finish consistently in the higher echelons of the league and to be challenging for Grand Finals and Challenge Cups on a regular basis," Sky Sports News quotes Pearson as saying.

"I don't see why we can't have that as an objective. I think Lee is big enough and man enough to accept that as a responsibility, but certainly we need to give him the time and the resources to be able to manage properly."

Radford enjoyed two spells as a player at Hull before retiring in 2011.
