Hull FC have announced that they have parted company with head coach Peter Gentle after two years in charge of the club.
The 47-year-old, who had two years remaining on his deal with the Airlie Birds, led the side to two sixth-place finishes as well as a Challenge Cup Final appearance.
However, following their record 76-18 Super League playoff loss to Huddersfield Giants, Gentle has been relinquished of his duties.
Hull FC owner Adam Pearson told reporters: "The club would like to place on record their gratitude to Peter for his efforts, hard work and dedication, helping to progress the club on the field in his two seasons in charge."
Former player Lee Radford to take over as coach of the Black and Whites.
