Huddersfield Giants came to life at the end of a tentative affair with Hull FC to eventually run out 22-4 winners in the Super League this afternoon.
The first half was a story of both defences being on top as neither attacking force could find a way through.
Instead, both sides had to rely on penalties for any points at all, with Danny Brough and Danny Tickle getting one apiece to send the teams in 2-2 at half time.
The second half looked like continuing in a similar way, Tickle adding another two points for the visitors, before Huddersfield came to life.
Three tries in the last 15 minutes from Eorl Crabtree, Luke Robinson and Joe Wardle, coupled with Brough's reliable boot gave the Giants a 22-4 victory.
The result ensures that Huddersfield remain top of the Super League table, while Hull drop two places to fourth.
