A hat-trick from Luke George has helped Huddersfield Giants remain top of the Super League table after a 42-4 demolition of Castleford Tigers at the Galpharm Stadium.

Th winger got the ball rolling after 11 minutes when he ran onto his own kick before touching down in the corner.

Greg Eden and Joe Wardle both got on the scoresheet with tries of their own as Danny Brough kicked the extras for Wardle's score.

Castleford earned their only points of the night when Nick Youngquest touched down on 29 minutes.

Brough kicked through the posts to extend his side's lead soon after, before Larne Patrick went over for a try just a minute later.

George scored his second try of the match three minutes before the break to give the Giants a 26-4 lead at half time.

George completed his third hat-trick of the season within a minute of the restart as the Tigers looked resigned to defeat.

Tries from Kevin Brown and Michael Lawrence followed as Huddersfield continued their best-ever start to a Super League season.
