USA Olympian Lolo Jones has urged her Twitter followers to avoid watching new film Fifty Shades of Grey because "God didn't create sex for that purpose".
The 32-year-old hurdler and bobsledder, who is a self-proclaimed virgin and devout evangelical Christian, believes that the blockbuster hit, which shows scenes of BDSM, should be boycotted.
"Funny how some people think there's nothing wrong with 50 shades of Grey," Jones tweeted. "God didn't create sex for that purpose. Watch another movie.
"Some ppl medicate pain by being more and more physical to where if they are ever alone they can't feel any peace."
Jones has two world indoor championship gold medals to her name.
