Boston 2024 to hold meetings to discuss Olympic bid

Boston 2024 organisers will hold a series of meetings to discuss their Olympic bid, after receiving a negative response.

Organisers of the Boston 2024 Olympic bid will reportedly hold meetings to discuss potentially hosting the Games and Paralympics.

Some have opposed the United States Olympic Committee's decision to pick Boston as a host city for the Games ahead of Washington DC, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

According to insidethegames.biz, the first Citizens Advisory Group meeting will take place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Centre on January 21 to gauge public opinion of the bid and how it will affect the city.

The United States have not been hosts since the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City.
