Rochdale manager Keith Hill has put his Manager of the Month prize up for auction in order to raise money for the son of his assistant Chris Beech.
Hill won the award in September for guiding League Two Dale to a 100% record throughout the month, in which they beat Bury, Wycombe Wanderers, Accrington Stanley and Torquay United.
The 44-year-old has admitted that the accolade was an honour to receive, but is more than happy to surrender it to try to raise funds for Brandon Beech, who suffers from cystic fibrosis.
Hill told reporters: "We're trying to raise awareness for a very good cause. Myself and the players are going to do everything we possibly can to raise the money that's needed for a vibrating bed for Brandon.
"Brandon is a massive part of Team Rochdale, as are all of the Beech family. It's the least we can do. I'm prepared to auction my Manager of the Month trophy that I received on behalf of the football club and the players who helped achieve it.
"It's a special trophy for myself, the players and the football club. But for Brandon it's something I'm willing to do for the right price."
The charity auction began on November 14 and will stay open until 4pm on Thursday November 21.
