Former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba has competed in a football match to raise money for charity Children in Need.
The 24-year-old was forced to retire from professional football after suffering a cardiac arrest during an FA Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur last season.
Despite being unable to compete at league level, Muamba did take to the pitch alongside special needs and disabled teenagers as part of BBC Radio Five Live's Football Fundraiser.
"I don't carry fears any more," Muamba told the Radio Times. "I was gone. And I couldn't take my car with me, my wallet, I couldn't take anything."
Muamba's heart stopped beating for 78 minutes during the incident last season.
