Former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba was at Downing Street on Monday as he began his charity work following his retirement from football in the summer.
The 24-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest in March during an FA Cup tie with Tottenham Hotspur – and was revived 78 minutes after his heart had stopped.
The Englishman, who retired following advice from doctors, is now fronting a campaign designed to teach children Emergency Life Support skills in schools.
The petition received 100,000 signatures.
