A man was escorted from the premises of the Players Championship Finals after darts fans began taunting him for looking like Jesus.
Nathan Grindal, who has lived in Oxford for six years since emigrating from Australia, was the subject of "Jesus" chants from the crowd while watching Phil Taylor beat Kim Huybrechts in Minehead, Somerset.
The bearded 33-year-old labourer was then escorted out of the building by security as the growing chants began to disrupt play.
"I didn't go to the darts dressed as Jesus, I went as me," Grindal told The Sun. "It was all very weird and distressing. I didn't break down crying but I did get emotionally distraught.
"They were bullying me and picking on me, saying that I was someone else. It would have been okay if the security hadn't made a fuss getting me out of the arena."
As he left the arena the 4,500-strong crowd began singing "stand up if you love Jesus".
