Phil Taylor comeback stuns Andy Hamilton

Phil Taylor comes from 9-5 down to beat Andy Hamilton 10-9 in the quarter-finals of the Players Championship Finals.

Phil Taylor has won the last five legs to beat Andy Hamilton 10-9 to progress through to the semi-finals of the Players Championship Finals.

The 15-time world champion looked to be heading out of the tournament as Hamilton came from 3-1 down to move to within one leg of victory at 9-5.

However, after Hamilton missed one dart at double 20 for the match, Taylor produced a scintillating spell of darts to surge through with a 103 average.

Taylor will play Simon Whitlock in the last-four after the Australian thrower recorded a 10-8 win over Gary Anderson.

Justin Pipe and Kim Huybrechts both made their first PDC major semi-final with comfortable victories over Mervyn King and Peter Wright.

Pipe was always in control as he secured a 10-7 win over King while Huybrechts averaged over 104 as he saw off the challenge of Wright by a 10-6 scoreline.
