Phil Neville admits to wanting to sleep at Manchester United training ground

Phil Neville admits that he would happily sleep at Manchester United's Carrington training ground.

Manchester United coach Phil Neville has admitted that he would happily sleep at the club's Carrington training ground.

The 36-year-old was asked to join the coaching staff by David Moyes when the Scotsman took the reins at Old Trafford in the summer following Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement.

"We have beds at the training ground and I go home sometimes and say to my wife, 'do you know something, I didn't want to leave work today?'" Neville told The Guardian.

"It's not a slight on my wife. It's just a great position to be in when you love your job so much. This training ground, you don't want to go home. It feels like it is your home."

Neville, who spent eight years at Everton, retired from playing at the end of last season.
