Carlos Tevez punished for driving while disqualified

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez will do 250 hours of community service as punishment for driving while disqualified.

Carlos Tevez has been sentenced to 250 hours of community service for driving while disqualified.

The Manchester City striker was handed the punishment on Wednesday morning at Macclesfield Magistrates' Court.

The 29-year-old was also given a fresh six-month disqualification starting from today and was fined £1,000 for driving without insurance.

The Argentina international pleaded guilty to the charge earlier on Wednesday morning after being arrested last month for violating a six-month driving ban that was issued to him after he was found speeding.
