New Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has admitted that he broke a fitness machine during his medical for the Reds.
The 23-year-old completed his switch from Paris Saint-Germain to Merseyside for a reported £15m on deadline day.
However, the routine medical did not run as smoothly as planned as a cardiovascular machine in the club's gym needed to be fixed.
"How do you know this? Yes, it's true," The Mirror quotes Sakho as saying. "It's true that one of the machines did break. Something went wrong with it, so they had to fix it, not reinforce it."
The Frenchman made his debut for Liverpool in their 2-2 draw with Swansea City on Monday.
