An organisation that lends support to sex workers in Thailand has called for an investigation into the recent video appearing to show three Leicester City players racially abusing women during an orgy.
Tom Hopper, Adam Smith and James Pearson - son of Leicester manager Nigel - filmed three Thai women performing sex acts on them while on a post-season tour of the country, where the club's owners are based.
During the footage, the players can be heard describing one women as "slit eye" and another as "fucking minging - an absolute one out of 10".
Now, Empower Foundation, which is a non-profit organisation that offers support to sex workers, has urged the authorities to look into the footage.
"Thai women are used to sell the country," the Daily Star quotes the organisation's director Chantawipa Apisuk as saying. "We can forgive this incidence but the authorities should intervene and investigate. For example, they should check if the girls are under 18 or not."
The three footballers apologised for their behaviour via a club statement on Sunday.
