Leicester City trio James Pearson, Tom Hopper and Adam Smith have reportedly been the subject of online death threats after they racially abused three Thai women during an orgy.

A video leaked by The Mirror at the weekend showed the trio engaging in sex acts with three women thought to be local to Thailand, where the team were for a post-season tour.

In the footage, one of the players can be heard describing one of the women as "slit eye", while the comment, "fucking minging - an absolute one out of 10", is also delivered.

The footballers, who were sent home from the tour once the video emerged, apologised for their behaviour via a club statement on Sunday.

Since then, according to the Daily Star, football fans have turned to social media to criticise the trio, with one user in particular writing: "They can die as far as I'm concerned."

One of the players involved is the son of Leicester manager Nigel Pearson.
