Ella Eyre to record England rugby single

Brit Award-winning singer Ella Eyre will record the England rugby team's official single for this year's Rugby World Cup.

Brit Award-winning singer Ella Eyre has been selected to record the official England single for this year's Rugby World Cup.

The 21-year-old will perform a version of 'Swing Low, Sweet Chariot' alongside a choir of fans, with proceeds from the single going to the England Rugby's All Schools programme, which funds rugby programmes in secondary schools.

The 'Waiting All Night' singer said: "I'm so proud to be singing Swing Low and getting involved in a World Cup on home soil. Really looking forward to helping bring the whole nation behind the England team. It's inspiring to see the levels of support for the players and we're raising money for a great cause."

Fans can apply to be in the choir through the England Rugby Facebook page before August 3, with the song going on sale on September 7.
