Andrew Strauss "delighted" to join Sky Sports commentary team

Former England cricket captain Andrew Strauss says that he is "delighted" to be part of the Sky Sports commentary team for the Ashes.

Former England cricket captain has expressed his joy in becoming the latest member of Sky Sports' commentary team for the Ashes.

Reports had emerged yesterday claiming that Strauss was to join the broadcaster for both the summer and winter Ashes series.

"I'm delighted to be joining the team for the Ashes," he said. "I can't wait to watch and commentate on what promises to be two exciting contests. I look forward to joining the guys in the summer and sharing my thoughts with the viewers."

The 36-year-old retired from all forms of the game in August last year.
