Chapecoense 'honour players with video'

Tragic Brazilian football team Chapecoense share a video on social media in tribute to the players that lost their lives in Monday's plane crash.

Brazilian football team Chapecoense have shared a video on social media in tribute to the players that lost their lives in a tragic plane crash on Monday night.

The death toll now stands at 77, with the Brazilian club's goalkeeper Danilo passing away in hospital after having initially been declared as one of the survivors of the crash, which occurred at around 10.15pm local time.

Chapecoense were travelling to Colombia for the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana final against Atletico Nacional when it is believed that their plane lost power before coming down.

The club have since taken to Twitter to post footage of the dressing-room celebrations that occurred following their semi-final victory, which was earned courtesy of a goalless draw in the second leg.

It is understood that Atletico Nacional have asked for their opponents to be handed the Sudamericana crown in light of the tragic occurrence.
