MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez is one race away from winning the premier class title ahead of this weekend's Motul Grand Prix of Japan at Motegi.
The 21-year-old Repsol Honda racer closed in on the title, despite finishing 13th in Aragon, by ending the race one spot ahead of his teammate Dani Pedrosa, who is Marquez's biggest challenger for the crown.
The Spaniard, who has extended his lead to 75 points, must finish ahead of Pedrosa in the race this weekend and must also not lose more than three points to Valentino Rossi.
Marquez's title chances will be hampered if he loses more than 15 points to Jorge Lorenzo.
