England beat Scotland to bronze

England win bronze in a closely-fought third-place match against Scotland in the lawn bowls open triples for para-athletes at the Commonwealth Games.

England have secured the bronze medal in the lawn bowls open triples B6/B7/B8 class for para-athletes at the Commonwealth Games.

Bob Love, David Fisher and Paul Brown defeated the Scottish trio of Billy Allan, Michael Simpson and Kevin Wallace 16-12 this morning.

The teams were closely matched throughout, with Scotland taking a 12-10 lead after 14 ends, only for England to pull it back late on.

In the gold-medal match, South Africa edged out New Zealand 13-11.

The event combines athletes with various disabilities.
