Chris Wood wins Lyoness Open by two shots

Chris Wood overturns a five-shot overnight gap to win the Lyoness Open in Austria by two shots for his second European Tour victory.

England's Chris Wood claimed his second European Tour title by coming from five shots behind to win the Lyoness Open in Austria this afternoon.

The 27-year-old shot a five-under-par final round of 67 to finish the tournament on 15 under, two clear of Spain's Rafael Cabrera-Bello.

Gregory Bourdy of France had dominated the first three days at the Diamond Country Club in Atzenbrugg, but plummeted to joint-sixth with a six-over round of 78.

Another Englishman, Robert Rock, shot the best round of the day - a six-under 66 - to join compatriots Robert Dinwiddie and Matthew Fitzpatrick in a tie for third on 10 under.

Wood's win comes two and a half years after his last European Tour victory at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in January 2013.
