Former PGA Tour player Dan Olsen retracts claims that Tiger Woods is currently serving a drugs ban.

Former PGA Tour player Dan Olsen has withdrawn claims that Tiger Woods is currently serving a drugs suspension.

Olsen made the allegations during an interview with US radio station 730 AM The Game on Friday, but retracted his claims and offered an apology to Woods on Monday.

"I retract the entire interview," Olsen said in a statement on the radio station's website.

"My comments were ill-advised. I want to apologise to Nike, the PGA Tour, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and [Tour commissioner] Tim Finchem."

Tiger Woods is currently taking an indefinite break from golf to help rediscover his form.
