Paul Lawrie earns a one-shot lead ahead of the final round of the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles.

Scotland's Paul Lawrie will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Johnnie Walker Championship at Glenagles today.

The world number 34 shot a third-round 67 to reach 12-under-par, one shot clear of young Frenchman Romain Wattel, who hit a 63.

Nicolas Colsaerts needs a top-two finish in Scotland to ensure an automatic spot in the European Ryder Cup team but he is six shots adrift and needs a mighty final round to force his way in.

Even if he doesn't make it, the Belgian is expected, alongside Ian Poulter, to be named as a captain's wildcard.
