Mark Foster pleased with Seve Trophy victory

Mark Foster is delighted to help the Great Britain and Ireland team retain the Seve Trophy.

Mark Foster has spoken of his delight that Great Britain and Ireland managed to retain the Seve Trophy in Paris earlier today.

The 36-year-old claimed victory over Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin to seal the win over the European team.

After the match he revealed that he was glad that he held his nerve towards the end.

"It feels amazing and I'm pleased for the boys," said Foster.

"I was playing really well and then lost the pace of the green for four or five holes and let Raphael back in, and I knew I was in for a game then so I had to refocus.

"It would have hurt a lot if we hadn't won today and I'm glad to pull through."

Foster was one of three GB&I team members to emerge victorious from their singles matches.
